Genesis Tees Off 2017 With Back-To-Back Titles
For the second year running, the Genesis has won the prestigious title of Australia’s Best Car – Large Car – Under $70,000.
The coveted award, the nation’s largest new-car assessment and awards program, was given after an intensive weeklong series of testing by nine highly experienced independent judges representing Australia’s peak motoring organisations.
Once again, the judges were impressed by the superior levels of design and functionality in the Genesis – its driving performance, active and passive safety features, standard equipment and exceptional value for money. In addition, its impeccable 5-star safety rating is based on a best-ever ANCAP crash test overall score of 36.88 points out of a possible 37.
General Manager of Genesis, Peter Evans, was thrilled to accept Australia’s Best Car Award again.
“We’re extremely proud that Genesis has once again triumphed in the highly regarded Australia’s Best Car awards,” Mr Evans said. “And we’re doubly proud that it has been declared Australia’s Best Large Car Under $70,000 for the second year in a row and so soon after Wheels magazine had judged it one of its desirable Gold Star Value Award winners late last year.”
He added, “Genesis really is a game changer for the Australian luxury car market, offering exceptional style, safety, performance and equipment at what truly represents outstanding value. In fact, we’re happy to boast that, as these coveted awards show, Genesis is head and shoulders above its similarly positioned competitors in every respect while being virtually half the cost of comparably equipped traditional European luxury cars.”
