IT was easily one of the best prizes we’ve ever given away at Golf Link and Ron and Margaret Roberts enjoyed every minute of their time in the US after winning the Play Your Way to L.A promotion in January.

After returning home from the once in a life time trip, the lucky golfers from Yeppoon kindly took the time to pen the following letter outlining just some of the highlights from what was a memorable journey.

Late last year, we surveyed over 500 golfers from around Australia on how we could improve the Genesis Golf Link Cup to make it more engaging, and fairer, for all participants.

This year we are putting some of those suggestions into practice and in Series One there will be three improvements in play from the very first week.

Dustin Johnson began the final round of the Genesis Open at the Riviera Country Club five ahead of Web.Com Tour graduate Wesley Bryan but with three birdies in his opening six holes the lead over the field quickly stretched to eight - and that would prove to be unbeatable over the final round in Los Angeles.
